Today is the 35th anniversary of the day K and I first met eye to eye.  That was the day we symbolically swapped hearts, she took my heart and I took hers... it was love at first sight for both of us!

I remember that day well. We were in camper vans. K was on the way home from a few days away in the country with her parents, brothers, grandmother, the dog and the budgie!. I was on my way to a fight and had my parents and dog with me. We stopped for a while and had parked next to each other in the car park of a natural beauty spot in the English countryside in the middle of nowhere!. The dogs played together, our Dads talked about the campers & boxing and our Mams talked about the dogs, the weather and our families. I was standing in the door of the camper looking at K, she was sitting on a boulder watching the dogs playing. Then she looked at me and that was the moment our eyes met!. If only we weren`t so young and so shy, I turned and ran back into the camper and she looked away, both too stupidly shy to do anything else, but I watched her through the window instead. I couldn`t escape or explain my feelings, I just "Knew" there was more to this than I understood at the time!...

That was just the first of several chance encounters in incredibly unlikely places to meet!. Several months later we were both at an Osmonds concert in London and were sitting within a few rows of each other, I watched K more than I watched the show, I was hoping to catch her attention but she didn`t realise and her dad wouldn`t let her leave her seat or talk to anyone anyway!. We also crossed paths a few times at home in Wales when I was out running, K was always either walking or horse riding and we passed each other on route!. Once she came into my shop with a mutual friend. He had tricked her into coming into the shop, the shock on her face, bless!... she turned and ran out of the shop before I had a chance to say hello!. What are the odds on those chance encounters?, especially as I lived in Wales and she lived in England and we unexpectedly crossed paths a few times in each other`s country!

Still we are together now in the best way we can be under the circumstances. We are blissfully happy and still totally in love, as we shall be for all eternity!
